The Flintstones and Rubbles travel to Rock Island beach when there is a big surfing festival. Fred then attempts to surf a lot and winds up in trouble every time. The lifeguard who rescues him is actually teen idol Jimmy Darrock (special guest star James Darren). In the end Fred and his family attend a surf contest awards show and Jimmy sings a surf song.
