Room And Bored

Woody decides to make a home in a telephone pole where he encounters Smedley, a lineman determined to stop his company’s property from trespass. Smedley is a “troubleshooter” lineman for “this vital industry,” otherwise known as the telephone company. One day, Woody shows up, weary from travel, and looking for a place to call home. The telephone pole that Smedley is working on provides the ideal spot. Since Woody’s occupancy of “vital industry” property is against the rules, Smedley decides to evict him. The battle continues until, in the end, Smedley finds himself as the “connection” between a couple of telephone wires.
