Scooby-Doo and Crew are suddenly caught up in a voodoo curse involving a rock group on the Plantation Maison DuPree. Alex Cooper, the gang’s friend and the group’s leader, had heard an ancient chant called “Mamba Wamba,” and decides to make a hit tune out of it. But when he and his group performs it on stage, the chant’s namesake sinister witch doctor, appears and makes Lila, the band’s lead singer, disappear in full view of 1,000 fans! Through many frightening encounters with Mamba Wamba and his zombies, Scooby-Doo and company unravel the mystery surrounding this voodoo hoodoo. Through trickery, M.W. had hoped to obtain the rights to all of the money of the rock group’s hit demo record, but was thwarted, thanks to the efforts of The Scooby-Doo Sleuths. Mamba Wamba is revealed to be Roger, the band’s lead singer, and his lead zombie, Lila (Alex’s group’s lead singer), was in on the scheme from the first.
